NOT MY DAY

One day young Don did not go to school. Don was fine and decided not to go to school on purpose. His mom tried her best to talk him out of his decision but no avail. His mother wanted to teach him a lesson for being truant. She knew that Don was a modern fashioned boy and hated everything old school. So, his mom waited till it was 30 minutes before recess at his school and sent him to take some firewood to his grandparents who lived a about 100 meters from his school. When he saw the large, heavy bundle of firewood, he grumbled and said," eew dirty firewood", this is not my day. He carried the firewood on his head and began walking. On the way, he felt tired, and his head hurt from carrying the firewood and he said," oh this is not my day". As he continued, he reached his school where all the kids were at recess. All his classmates saw him and laughed at him. He was really embarrassed and almost shed a tear. Just there and then, he saw his mom, with the principal and a few of his teachers on the school compound. They called him there and as he went; he heard giggles and he was so embarrassed, this time he burst into tears. Then again, he said, "this is not my day". His teachers took the firewood off his head, and he apologized for his actions. He was forgiven but he was punished by his principal. Finally, after all that drama, he returned home with his mom, completely forgetting about the bundle of firewood.
